Only 90

It's been a hot June here - mid-90s almost almost every day, with plenty of humidity to go along with it. So it didn't seem too weird yesterday when the local weatherman said that it would 'only be 90 on Monday'. Below is Lydia's 'why are we outside in this heat?' face.

She weighed 15 pounds on Tuesday! That means she has already doubled her birth weight, which is generally expected by 6 months. She's 3 and half months now.

Lydia has been drooling a lot lately, so her baby teeth are probably working their way out. She has been grabbing onto things more now and putting them in her mouth. She giggled at me the other day for the very first time, which was pretty exciting. Really funny too because she scared herself in the process. She giggled twice real quick and immediately stopped and had a scared/confused face like the one in the first picture of this post. We'll be sure to put up a video when we capture her next laugh.

In other news:

We have a freezer full of local blueberries, picked from the same guy as last year. We also used a bunch of homegrown basil to make pesto. Tasty.

We won the Gator football season ticket lottery for next year, which means 7 home games for $10 a ticket. That's a good deal.

After several weeks of not knowing about our next move, we finally got an offer for on-campus student housing, which will be a big help on the ol' budget for the next year or so. The apartment complex is directly behind Michelle's workplace and only a few blocks from mine. We'll move the first week of August.

We hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Oh the memories!! Our blueberries won't be ready for a couple more weeks and I just can't stand the thought of buying anything less than FRESH blueberries :)

Thanks for sharing all your wonderful news. God is good!

Wow, so much news!! Glad to hear about the move, and the Gator tickets. Maybe we can time our visit this fall to babysit so you two can get to a game date! Love the pics!
