Blazing star

Blazing star is a purple picture of late summer.



It's one of those wildflowers that seem to continuously attract butterflies.





Or bees.



Here it is with palmetto.







Looks like we'll actually have one more week of 'hot and humid', which means I can say goodbye to 'rite in the rain' pretty soon. Whoever invented that should get a gold star, though. Good stuff.
